FreeView Installer Update

Some older Freeview boxes may stop working in April 2025. TV NZ will start to display messages if your Freeview devices are impacted. I recommend making contact with me early to avoid the rush. Click the download to read the Installer Satellite Updates

FreeView Update

Freeview’s satellite TV service, scheduled for 1 am, Thursday 6 November:

Whakaata Māori will go HD and move from TS22 to TS21.
CH200 will be added to channel 200.
Other services on TS21 (the Kordia Transponder) will update to H.264 video and HE-AACv1 audio to facilitate the above.

While most TVs and satellite receivers are expected to update automatically, some MATV systems may require manual updates.
